Respiratory Therapist

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Advocate Health. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities- Assess patient needs and develop effective treatment plans to improve respiratory function and overall health.
- Operate and maintain complex respiratory equipment, including ventilators and oxygen therapy devices.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families on respiratory health and disease management.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and optimize clinical practices.
- Graduate from an accredited respiratory care program with a minimum of an associate degree.
- Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential issued by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential if received prior to January 1, 2019.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA).
