Job Overview

The Surgical Technician, under the guidance of the Registered Nurse, is responsible for the care and safety of surgical patients. This role is responsible for assisting the physician with the preparation of and the technical aspects of the role of the scrub person during surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the physician with the preparation of the operating room and the technical aspects of the surgical procedure.
  • Provide care and safety for surgical patients, under the guidance of the Registered Nurse.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure a smooth and efficient surgical process.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology Program or Massachusetts's Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
  • Surgical Technician certification through an accredited program or within 12 months of completing program.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Two (2) years of Operating Room Experience.
