As a Junior Automotive Technician, your responsibilities will include performing essential service tasks such as oil changes, tire and wheel services, alignments, and fluid flushes. You will have the opportunity to work alongside ASE Certified Automotive Technicians, gaining valuable training that will help you advance your career. This position is an excellent stepping stone for those aspiring to become certified ASE Automotive Technicians.

Compensation: Up to $15 - $17/HR, Plus Flag Hour DOE

Key Responsibilities:
  • Safely transport customers to and from their residences or businesses using the company vehicle.
  • Pick up parts, supplies, and tires from vendors and/or the corporate office.
  • Operate the company vehicle in a safe and courteous manner, adhering to all traffic regulations.
  • Conduct State Safety and Emission Inspections on vehicles ethically, following all company and state guidelines.
  • Perform tire mounting/dismounting, wheel balancing, and tire rotation.
  • Execute oil changes and other basic services as directed by the Shop Foreman or Store Manager.
  • While performing basic services, assess the general condition of vehicles and report any obvious repair needs or safety concerns to the Shop Foreman or Store Manager. Utilize the company's Multi-point Inspection and/or Repair Order to accurately document vehicle conditions.
  • Maintain cleanliness in the shop, including the service area, tire racks, showroom, and exterior, to ensure a welcoming environment.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and report any concerns to the Shop Foreman or Store Manager.

Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Possess a valid driver's license or obtain one within 30 days of hire.
  • Ability to work a minimum of five days, including Saturdays.

Previous automotive experience is preferred; however, we are open to considering enthusiastic and hardworking individuals with a passion for vehicles. Candidates should demonstrate a high level of motivation and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment—there is always work to be done. A valid driver's license is required, and candidates must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test, MVR, and criminal background check.
