Position Overview:

The Mechatronics Trainee will engage in hands-on learning and academic development within the Mechatronics and Manufacturing sectors.

The knowledge and skills acquired will be instrumental in comprehending the methodologies, technologies, and advancements driving CLAAS innovation.

  • Set up, diagnose, and repair mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Wire motors and drive systems.
  • Utilize manual metalworking tools.
  • Select and implement appropriate joining techniques.
  • Install and configure software and hardware programs.
  • Construct, test, modify, and sustain industrial control systems.
  • Install, test, adjust, and maintain electrical assemblies.
  • Interpret technical diagrams and schematics.
  • Develop or select suitable QA testing procedures.
  • Adopt a systematic approach (Plan-Do-Check-Act).

Problem-Solving and Troubleshooting:

Analyze issues effectively to facilitate troubleshooting.


Candidate Profile:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; further education and training are advantageous.
  • Relevant experience in testing, repairs, or reconfiguration is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Consistent attendance at a Level 'A' for the last three quarters.
  • Not currently on a performance improvement plan for quality or other performance metrics.
  • Flexibility to balance school commitments with training schedules.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications accurately.
  • Proficiency in fitting, aligning, and adjusting assembly work to meet strict tolerances and inspection standards is preferred.

Demonstrated ability to effectively use all necessary tools, machinery, and equipment for assembly tasks, including torque tools and electronic diagnostic equipment is preferred.

Strong command of the English language, both written and spoken.

  • A background in agriculture and experience operating large machinery is desirable.
  • Capability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage a high-volume workload in a dynamic environment with meticulous attention to detail.
