The ideal candidate will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech and language disorders in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assessment and Diagnosis: Conduct thorough screenings and comprehensive assessments to determine the speech and language needs of students.
  • Treatment Planning: Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address identified disorders, ensuring that students receive the best possible care.
  • Therapy Services: Provide high-quality therapy to students with speech and language disorders, utilizing evidence-based practices and techniques.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student progress and ensure a cohesive approach to education.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress and services provided, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

  • Education: Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Certification: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
  • Licensure: North Carolina state licensure or eligibility for licensure in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Experience: Experience working with school-aged children is preferred, but not required.
  • Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
