Cardiac Sonographer I

We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiac Sonographer I to join our team at WVU Medicine. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing advanced non-invasive imaging procedures for Cardiac Laboratories.

• Perform advanced non-invasive imaging procedures for Cardiac Laboratories, utilizing state-of-the-art equipment and technology.
• Conduct thorough patient assessments, obtaining relevant medical history and performing necessary tests to ensure accurate diagnoses.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide high-quality patient care, ensuring seamless communication and coordination.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient procedures, test results, and diagnoses, adhering to strict confidentiality and data protection protocols.
• Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in cardiovascular imaging and diagnostic techniques.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of departmental policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.

• Graduate of a Echocardiography or Ultrasound Program and certification in Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS).
• High school graduate or equivalent and Registered Cardiac Sonographer or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer.
• Certification in Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire date.
