This is a hybrid position with 1 day/week in the office, offering a unique blend of remote and in-office work. As the Lead Cloud Infrastructure/Security Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our technical infrastructure to ensure scalability, reliability, and security.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage the Infrastructure/Security team, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to team members.
- Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of our Azure Cloud infrastructure, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.
- Manage and optimize Azure services, including computer, storage, networking, and security services.
- Oversee database administration efforts including database design, deployment, monitoring, and optimization.
- Implement and maintain security best practices and protocols to protect our infrastructure, data, and applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements, troubleshoot issues, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Develop and maintain operational policies, procedures, and documentation to ensure compliance with industry standards and SOC 2 Controls.
- Stay informed about emerging technologies and industry trends, providing recommendations for technology adoption and innovation.
- Develop, and lead a high-performing team of technical specialists, encouraging collaborative and results-oriented work environment.
- Manage teams across Azure Infrastructure, Databases and Security departments.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field
- 10+ years of experience in Infrastructure/Security/Compliance.
- Hands-on experience with Azure Cloud technologies, including Azure Infrastructure, Database Administration, and Security.
- Strong understanding of cloud computing principles, architecture, and best practices.
- Detailed understanding of Cloud-Infrastructure/Networking Concepts and Configurations - VNET, NAT Gateway, Private Endpoints, App Services, Microservices (Function-Apps), APIM, Traffic Manager, Cloudflare WAF
- Proficiency in managing Azure services such as Azure Virtual Machines, VPN, Azure SQL Database, Azure Storage, Azure Networking, and Azure Security.
- Expertise in one or more scripting languages such as PowerShell, python etc.
- Experience working with monitoring tools such as Log Analytics, App Insights, Data Dog.
- Knowledge of security principles and best practices, including identity and access management, encryption, and data protection.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Certifications such as: Microsoft Certified Azure Administrator Associate or Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert preferred.
