Estimated Salary: $60/hour based on 13 weeks of contract with potential for extension in Hondo, TX.
About the RoleWe are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist to work with patients who require communication, cognitive, or swallowing therapy. In this role, you will be responsible for evaluating patients, developing individualized plans of care, and implementing evidence-based interventions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluates patients with communication, cognitive, or swallowing disorders and develops tailored treatment plans following regulatory and clinical standards.
- Uses standardized assessments and best practices to inform clinical decisions.
- Monitors patient progress, adjusts treatments as needed, and documents all required information in the electronic documentation system.
- Promotes effective communication with patients, families, caregivers, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Provides comprehensive discharge summaries and maintains accurate patient records according to company policies.
- Maintains active ASHA and state licensure, adhering to practice acts, codes of conduct, and ethics as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
To be successful in this role, you must possess:
- A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Current state licensure and ASHA certification.
- Experience working with patients with communication, cognitive, or swallowing disorders.
- Strong assessment and treatment planning skills, with the ability to adapt to changing needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
