Job Summary

The Medical Director - Primary Care Clinics will oversee the clinical delivery of medical care and maintain relationships with physicians, Advanced Practice Providers, and clinical staff. This role requires a strong understanding of clinical operations and a commitment to quality improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement clinical policies and procedures
  • Ensure compliance with clinical policies and procedures
  • Supervise and direct all medical treatment activities
  • Recommend changes to better utilize facilities, services, and staff
  • Work in partnership with the Primary Care Manager, Director, and HR to interview, hire, and evaluate clinical providers

Requirements

  • Medical degree from an accredited university (MD or DO) with completion of a residency program in Family Practice
  • Three to five years' clinical experience with pediatric and adult patients, with administrative experience preferred
  • Knowledge of medical coding and the principles and practice of family practice medicine
  • Competent with common PC applications, including Internet, Email, and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to interact with patients, medical and administrative staff, and the public effectively

Preferred Qualifications

  • Board certified or board qualified by the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) in Family Practice
  • Current Federal Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration and/or unrestricted Nevada State Board of Pharmacy Certificate and DEA to practice in Nevada, as appropriate
