About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled MEP Assistant Superintendent to join our team at Turner Construction. As a key member of our MEP division, you will play a critical role in the planning, management, and execution of all field activities for mechanical and electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate with engineers, design consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, inspectors, and owner's representatives to resolve mechanical and electrical issues.
  • Develop and manage MEP systems schedules to ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Benchmark and monitor work progress to ensure alignment with project schedules.
  • Approve subcontractor payment requisitions and oversee subcontractor work to ensure compliance with contract documents.
  • Preplan field activities to ensure areas are ready for work according to project schedules.
  • Monitor manpower allocation and record progress of project schedules.
  • Optimize work sequences between mechanical and electrical systems and other trades to resolve conflicts.
  • Assist with start-up, testing, commissioning, closeout, and turnover of projects.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • At least two years of experience in mechanical and electrical systems coordination or a related field.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, organizational ability, and proficiency with computer applications.
  • Business acumen and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
