Job Summary

The Server position at Beaver Creek Lodge is responsible for providing exceptional guest service and creating a memorable dining experience. The incumbent will be responsible for serving food and beverage to guests, maintaining a clean and organized dining area, and ensuring that all guests feel welcome and valued.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet and interact with guests in a warm and friendly manner
  • Operate the telephone system and answer calls in a professional and courteous manner
  • Maintain the integrity of guests' privacy and confidentiality
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of menu items, beer, liquor, and wine
  • Clear and reset tables after each course
  • Assist with providing tables with beverages and removing solid linens and replacing them with clean linen
  • Transport dirty dishes to the dishwashing station and polish silver and glass as needed
  • Present menu, answer questions, and make suggestions regarding food and beverage
  • Explain, pair, and recommend wine from the wine list
  • Serve food and beverage in a genuine, friendly, professional, and efficient manner consistent with the Beaver Creek Lodge image and standards
  • Relay orders to the kitchen through POS and help serve courses from kitchen and service bars
  • Total bill and accept payment
  • Proficiently utilize the property management systems and follow cash handling procedures
  • Clear and reset tables at conclusion of each course
  • Set up the dining room in a thorough and swift manner
  • Complete opening and closing procedures as well as daily side-work
  • Inventory and restock supplies as needed
  • Maintain complete knowledge in the use of all office equipment, property management systems, and access according to specifications
  • Maintain a neat and organized work area to include adhering to sanitation standards according to state law and health codes
  • Maintain complete knowledge and comply with company policies and procedures
  • Maintain neat, clean, and professional appearance according to standards
  • Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures
  • Welcome and acknowledge guests with disabilities and follow proper procedures to accommodate needs
  • Develop and maintain a positive working relationship and support the team to achieve our goals
  • Attend required training and meetings
  • All other duties as assigned, planned or un-planned
Requirements
  • High school diploma, GED Degree, or related training equivalent - required
  • 1+ year of relevant work experience in similar scope and title - required
  • Experience within luxury brand/markets - required
  • Student or graduate of hotel management - preferred
Work Environment

The Server position at Beaver Creek Lodge requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with constant noise and minimal private office space. The incumbent must be able to cope with frequent changing priorities and deadlines with a high degree of optimism, professionalism, and collaboration.

Schedules may vary from week to week based on business demands in excess of or less than 40 hours with or without notice.

Physical Demands

The Server position at Beaver Creek Lodge requires the ability to stand and walk up to 8 hours daily, push, pull, and lift up to 20 lbs, and travel by foot, car, bus, airplane, or other means of transportation, which require sitting, waiting, and standing for long and short periods of time.
