About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our Cardiothoracic Surgical team as a First Assist physician assistant or nurse practitioner.

The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience in cardiothoracic surgical first assist, with a strong background in surgery and a willingness to work on both adult and pediatric cases.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with surgeons and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care.
  • Assist with surgical procedures, including preparing patients for surgery, maintaining sterile environments, and handling instruments during operations.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as nursing or medicine.
  • Current certification as a Physician Assistant (PA-C) or Nurse Practitioner (NP).
  • At least two years of experience in cardiothoracic surgical first assist.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
