Psychiatrist Professional

We are seeking an experienced Psychiatrist to provide psychiatric services at our correctional facilities in California. This is a unique opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of inmates and contribute to the delivery of high-quality healthcare services.

Salary: $325 per hour, paid hourly, competitive rate

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing extensive psychiatric services, including crisis interventions, face-to-face interviews, and initial mental health evaluations. They will also participate in Interdisciplinary Treatment Team (IDTT) meetings and document all care provided to patients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct clinically sound suicide risk evaluations, including clinical reviews, applying suicide risk assessment protocols, pertinent data/chart reviews, proper documentation and consultations as needed;
• Participate in IDTT meetings to develop comprehensive treatment plans;
• Document patient progress using Subjective, Objective, Assessment, Plan and Education (SOAPE) formatted progress notes;
• Effectively apply community standard of practice for psychiatric treatment modalities and ethical standards.

To be considered for this role, applicants must have a minimum of 12 months of experience within the last 3 years performing services similar in scope to those defined herein. They must also be able to speak, understand oral and written communication and write effectively in the English language.
