About the Role

Arcfield is seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer to support our US Navy customer Strategic Systems Programs in Washington, DC. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in the development, test, and production phases of a new weapon design.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Navy in the development, test, and production phases of a new weapon design.
  • Serve as technical secretary for various DoD/DOE working groups.
  • Analyze and trace requirements.
  • Evaluate risks.
  • Review and comment on detailed test plans and reports.
  • Analyze detailed schedules in support of EVMS.
  • Assess the design and production efforts of the Design and Production Agents.
  • Serve as independent evaluator for formal design development, integration, qualification, and production reviews.
  • Interface with SSP, Joint Staff, DTRA, Army, Navy, DOE (NNSA), OSD, and contractor personnel.
  • Represent the Navy customer at various meetings when they cannot be present.
Requirements
  • BS in a technical field with 5-7 years of experience, MS with 3-5 years, or PhD with 0-2 years of experience.
  • Experience with weapons production and delivery.
  • Strong technical writing skills.
  • Current Top-Secret Clearance.
Desired Skills
  • Understanding of the nuclear weapons development process.
  • Experience with DOORS.
  • Experience with Model Based System Engineering.
  • DOE Q clearance.
