About the Role

The Key Carrier role is an elevated extension of the Coordinator position at TJ Maxx. As a Key Carrier, you will alternate between performing the role of Coordinator and taking on a leadership position in maintaining all aspects of the store. This role requires open availability, including nights and weekends, and involves modeling exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create a Positive Customer Experience: Ensure that internal and external customers receive exceptional service, promoting a culture of honesty and integrity.
  • Act as Manager on Duty: Adhere to company policy and procedure, ensuring that store team members perform tasks and activities in accordance with the store plan.
  • Address Customer Service Issues: Provide coaching to Associates and exercise discretion regarding customer service policies to satisfy customers.
  • Maintain Accurate Associate Coverage: Ensure that service areas are covered for a positive customer experience.
  • Ensure Operational Procedures: Ensure that Associates adhere to all operational procedures, including opening and closing procedures.
  • Communicate Effectively: Communicate accurately and effectively with management and Associates when setting and addressing priorities.
  • Provide Feedback and Coaching: Provide feedback, recognition, and coaching to Associates to increase their effectiveness.
  • Support Shrink Reduction Goals: Support and participate in shrink reduction goals and programs.
  • Promote Safety Awareness: Maintain a safe environment and promote safety awareness.
Requirements
  • Flexible Schedule: Able to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
  • Team Player: Team player, working effectively with peers and supervisors.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Proven problem-solving skills and ability to respond appropriately to changes in direction or unexpected situations.
  • Knowledge of Company Software: Knowledge of company standard software, systems, and procedures.
  • Merchandise Flow: Knowledge of merchandise flow in stores.
  • Leadership Experience: 1 year retail experience and 6 months leadership experience.
