Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Pharmacist to join our team at SpecialtyRx, a leading Long-Term Care pharmacy. This full-time 2nd shift position offers a competitive salary and a 7 on/7 off schedule.

Responsibilities
  • Evaluate medication orders for appropriateness, ensuring patient safety and quality care.
  • Ensure accurate dispensing and labeling of medications.
  • Make recommendations for therapy changes to physicians and facility staff as needed.
  • Maintain accurate customer databases, including medical history and clinical data.
  • Investigate and resolve medication-related queries.
  • Communicate effectively with nursing staff, physicians, and other healthcare team members.
  • Supervise the preparation of medications and maintain proper security conditions.
  • Perform on-call duties as required.
Qualifications
  • Licensed pharmacist in the State of Kentucky.
  • Long Term Care experience preferred.
  • Previous experience in Hospital and Retail pharmacy or other medical fields.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Computer skills and knowledge of framework/ECM software a plus.
