Position Overview

Tact Staff is actively seeking a Traveling Respiratory Therapist for an exciting opportunity.

Job Responsibilities
  • Specialty: Respiratory Therapy

  • Shift Duration: 8 hours

The selected candidate will be required to possess a valid NRP and OH RRT license. Experience in assisting with high-risk deliveries is essential. Flexibility to float between facilities within the designated Metro Region is necessary to ensure all scheduled hours are fulfilled.

Patient Care Responsibilities

The therapist will engage with a diverse patient demographic, primarily focusing on adults and geriatrics, while also providing care for pediatric patients as needed. Responsibilities include:

  • Administering respiratory therapy for conditions such as asthma, COPD, and pneumonia.
  • Performing critical care procedures including medication delivery and airway management.
  • Responding to emergency situations and performing CPR as required.
  • Conducting blood gas sampling and analysis.
Equipment and Skills

Familiarity with various respiratory equipment and procedures is necessary, including:

  • Ventilator management (BiPAP, CPAP)
  • Oxygen therapy techniques
  • Medication administration for respiratory conditions

Preferred Qualifications: Experience with high-risk deliveries and pediatric respiratory care is advantageous.

Work Environment

The role involves working in adult critical care and emergency department settings, with a focus on providing high-quality patient care.
