About the Role

Pawnee Mental Health Services is seeking a skilled Psychiatric Registered Nurse to join our team in an outpatient setting. As a key member of our nursing team, you will provide high-quality care to patients with mental health and substance use challenges.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide onsite nursing support to medical staff, including medication management and patient education.
  • Induce patients with buprenorphine and manage their care during this time.
  • Offer substance use recovery information to clients, including lockboxes, Narcan training, and agency resources.
  • Handle medication-related phone calls and emails, addressing questions, concerns, and side effects.
  • Order and administer injections on a weekly basis.
  • Take vitals for all in-office patient visits.
Requirements
  • Current, unencumbered Kansas Registered Nurse (RN) certification.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills in English.
  • Knowledge of psychotropic medications and the specific needs of substance use patients.
  • At least 2 years' nursing experience.
  • Basic personal computing skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • BSN degree.
  • Prior experience with MAT/Medication Assisted Treatment.
  • Bi-lingual capabilities.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office software.
