Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Delivery Driver to join our team at Domino's Franchise. As a Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service while transporting customers' orders in a safe and timely manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble and load orders into your vehicle, ensuring all items are properly secured and ready for delivery.
  • Transport orders to customers in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to assigned routes and road safety guidelines.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving any issues that may arise during delivery.
  • Collect payment from customers and provide correct change, as well as collect signatures for credit card and debit card transactions.
  • Keep track of all cash and receipts, ensuring that they balance at the end of each shift.
  • Use a drop box to store cash and ensure that it is kept under $20, with no money kept in the vehicle.
  • Listen to and resolve customer complaints, suggestions, and inquiries in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Keep the driver area stocked, organized, neat, and clean, as well as assist in keeping the box hutch and other box stocking areas clean and stocked.
  • Ensure that heat bags are clean and free of rips and tears, and sweep the floor regularly and mop when needed.
  • Wash dishes when no dishwasher is on shift, and assist in cooking food and working in the kitchen as needed.
  • Assist from time to time with taking phone, counter, or window orders, and participate in general store cleaning.

Requirements:

  • Own reliable transportation that is clean and free of debris.
  • Be able to read, understand, and follow a map.
  • Able to pass a Criminal Background check and a Motor Vehicle Record check.
  • Hold a Texas Certified Food Handlers Certificate.
  • Be able to understand and work with numbers.
  • Follow directions and achieve goals.
  • Demonstrate strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Be able to follow a schedule, be on time, wear proper uniform, and work swiftly with smart hustle.
  • Be able to communicate effectively to a variety of clientele.

Education and Experience: A high school diploma or equivalent degree is a plus, but not required. Candidates for this position do not need prior experience, as relevant training is provided on the job to learn employer-specific functions such as how to operate the computer system and to learn how to use the Domino's routing system. 2 years driving experience and history is required for anyone age 18, 1 year for age 19+. Customer service experience does help when greeting customers, answering potential inquiries, and handling complaints, though this is not required.

Work Environment: As a Domino's Delivery Driver, you will be working in a fast-paced environment, serving a large volume of people over every shift and driving many miles. Standing and moving on your feet for long periods of time is expected, which may contribute to back strain and foot problems. Because paper money is a large carrier for bacteria and germs, frequent hand sanitization is another expectation. The environment is warm, bustling, and potentially noisy, with triple stack conveyor belt ovens, multiple warming shelves, and carts on wheels which can lead to injury.
