Job Title: Substitute Teacher

Estimated Salary: $50,000 - $70,000 per year

About the Job

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Substitute Teacher to join our team at SCMCAA. As a Substitute Teacher, you will be responsible for assisting and cooperating in a supportive role to the teacher/teaching staff in carrying out developmentally appropriate activities for a Head Start classroom.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist with daily preparation and clean up of lunches and snacks
  • Monitor children on the playground and accompany teachers and children on field trips
  • Promote health, safety, nutrition, and education of children in the classroom
Requirements

To be successful as a Substitute Teacher, you must have:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • Emotional maturity, flexibility, patience, and good personal hygiene
  • The ability to fulfill responsibilities under pressure, including during emergencies
