Job Description

The Havener Eye Institute, Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences at The Ohio State University is seeking a full-time clinician faculty position in the subspecialty area of Oculoplastic Surgery. This is an open search for tenure or non-tenure track at the Assistant Professor level or higher, commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities
  • Provide patient care, research, and education primarily in our OSU multi-specialty medical office buildings and surgical suites in the metro Columbus area.
  • Participate in coverage at Columbus VA.
  • Hold a Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree and have completed an approved residency program in Ophthalmology.
  • Subspecialty training in an ASOPRS-approved fellowship or membership in ASOPRS is required.
  • Academic rank and salary are commensurate with experience and academic credentials.
Requirements
  • Board eligible or board certified in Ophthalmology by the time of appointment.
  • State of Ohio and DEA licensure required.
  • Demonstrated interest in scholarship and discovery by evidence of basic and/or clinical applied research and publications.
  • Commitment to resident, fellow, and medical student education.
