New Teacher/Licensed Staff Orientation:
New teaching/new licensed staff orientation will be held on July 24 & 25, 2024.
Experience:
District 49 credits each year of verified full-time/full-year K-12 teaching experience up to 20 years.
Work Schedule:
182 contracted work days - Contracted Days prorated based on start date
Benefits:
This position is eligible for benefits including group insurance (health, dental and vision), paid sick and personal leave and elective retirement savings plans. Benefit details can be found here.
Salary:
The minimum starting pay is $50,059/year* and the maximum salary is $86,492/year*. Initial pay placement is dependent on level of formal education and years of relevant experience (the maximum credit granted is 20 years).
*Salary prorated based on start date

Qualifications and Expectations:
  1. BA/BS from accredited college or university
  2. Valid Colorado teaching license endorsed in area of assignment: Secondary Art OR
    1. a valid CO licensed endorsed in another area AND passing exam scores on the PRAXIS II - exam #5134 only OR
    2. a valid CO license endorsed in another area - HR to review transcripts and make determination OR
    3. a valid CO license endorsed in another area and a BA/BS or higher major in Art - HR to review transcripts and make determination
