The City of Nacogdoches is currently seeking a highly skilled professional to fill the Plant Operator position.
A Class C Surface Water certificate is preferred, but not required. The City provides on-the-job training to ensure the successful attainment of this certification.
The starting hourly rate for the trainee position is $14.28, $15.00 per hour for the Operator I position, and $17.36 per hour for the Operator II position.
This role involves performing operational, laboratory, and maintenance functions in a Wastewater Treatment and Ground Water operation.
The duties are aimed at ensuring the safe treatment of wastewater and groundwater, as well as the disposal of domestic and commercial waste materials.
The job also includes performing standard laboratory tests, as well as assisting with plant and facilities maintenance.
