About the RoleThe successful candidate will provide expert care for patients with cerebrovascular disorders, participate in multidisciplinary care teams, contribute to the development of advanced treatment protocols and quality improvement initiatives in vascular neurology, and educate and mentor medical students, residents, and fellows in neurology and related specialties.
Responsibilities- Develop and deliver innovative educational materials and lectures on cerebrovascular diseases
- Supervise, teach, and mentor neurology residents, vascular neurology fellows, and foster their professional growth
- Contribute to the development of advanced treatment protocols and quality improvement initiatives in vascular neurology
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Board Certified in Neurology and Board Eligible/Certified (or equivalent) in the subspecialty of Vascular Neurology
- Licensed to practice medicine in Louisiana before date of hire
- Commitment to academic medicine and advancing the field of vascular neurology
- Demonstrated excellence in clinical care, teaching, and research in the field of Vascular Neurology
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a commitment to team-based care and collaboration
