Responsibilities- Prepare treatment rooms for patients by adhering to established protocols and procedures.
- Prepare patients for dental treatment by welcoming, comforting, and positioning them for optimal care.
- Provide information to patients and staff by answering questions and addressing concerns.
- Deliver instruments and materials to treatment areas, ensuring seamless workflow and efficient care.
- Expose and develop radiographic studies, pour, trim, and polish study casts to aid in diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Fabricate temporary restorations and clean and polish removable appliances to maintain patient comfort and oral health.
- Assist in managing dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification, emergency drug and oxygen supply, and emergency contact information.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene, plaque control, and postoperative instructions to promote healthy habits and optimal outcomes.
- Document dental care services by charting in patient records, ensuring accurate and comprehensive records.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and protect operations by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.
- Conserve dental resources by using equipment and supplies efficiently to accomplish job results.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, and participating in professional societies.
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related tasks and responsibilities as needed.
- EFDA license in FL
- Experience working as a Dental Assistant
