Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Mammography Technologist to join our Radiology Department at Alaska Regional Hospital AK. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality imaging services to our patients.

Responsibilities
  • Perform mammography procedures, including screening and diagnostic exams, with a focus on patient comfort and safety.
  • Operate and maintain mammography equipment, including Hologic Selenia Dimensions and Affirm Stereotactic systems.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective patient care.
  • Participate in quality control activities to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of mammography procedures, including stereotactic guided biopsies and wire locs.
Requirements
  • ARRT (M) certification and BLS certification required.
  • 8 hours of Tomosynthesis training and experience with mammography procedures.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information.
Work Environment

This is a day shift position, Monday through Friday, 7am-3:30pm, with no call. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, motivated, and patient-centered, with a focus on high-quality positioning and attention to detail.
