Job Summary:The Neuro ICU Registered Nurse will provide high-quality patient care to critically ill patients in the Neuro ICU unit. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in neurology and critical care, with experience in managing complex medical conditions and procedures.
Responsibilities:- Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients in the Neuro ICU unit
- Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient care and ensure seamless transitions
- Monitor and manage patient vital signs, lab results, and medication administration
- Perform procedures such as intubation, chest tube insertion, and central line placement
- Participate in code blue and rapid response team activations
- Document patient care and progress in the electronic medical record
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a Neuro ICU or critical care setting
- Current RN licensure in the state of Louisiana
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications
- Epic experience required
- Strong neuro background and experience with neurology procedures
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
