Position Summary:

The HVAC Systems Technician is tasked with ensuring that the property is maintained in optimal condition at all times, minimizing inconvenience to guests and staff.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct repairs on the hotel's air conditioning systems, including filter changes, coil cleaning, and motor replacements.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on all equipment, including boilers, chillers, and HVAC systems.
  • Take necessary readings on equipment and test cooling towers, documenting findings.
  • Replace and program televisions as required.
  • Handle electrical tasks such as replacing light switches, receptacles, bulbs, and fixtures.
  • Execute furniture repairs and plumbing tasks, including addressing clogged drains and changing fittings.
  • Interpret blueprints and wiring diagrams effectively.
  • Trace and repair various water lines and troubleshoot kitchen equipment.
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs and preventive maintenance.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal codes in all maintenance work.
  • Test, clean, and repair swimming pools and spas.
  • Paint designated areas and repair wall coverings as needed.
  • Manage the repair and programming of the hotel’s electronic lock system.

Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent; experience in a hotel or related field is required.
  • A minimum of one year of progressive experience in a hotel or related field is preferred.
  • Trade school or college coursework in a related field is advantageous.
  • Flexibility in working hours is sometimes necessary.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects, exceeding 100 pounds occasionally, and 50 pounds frequently.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with all levels of staff and guests.
  • Strong multitasking and prioritization skills to meet departmental deadlines.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to grooming standards.
  • Comply with company standards and regulations to promote safe and efficient operations.
  • Demonstrate problem-solving skills, including anticipating and addressing issues as they arise.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and show initiative in addressing guest or operational needs.
  • Willingness to perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Additional Requirements:
Must possess HVAC Certification and TB Clearance.
