Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Health Nurse to join our team at Shaw Industries. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing top-notch medical care to our employees, promoting a healthy and safe work environment, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Direct Care: Offer medical treatment and care to employees within the scope of the state's nurse practice act.
  • Treatment of Work-Related Injuries: Provide treatment of work-related injuries or illnesses following standards of protocol approved by a licensed physician who serves as Shaw Industries' Medical Director.
  • Health Examinations: Offer, conduct, and educate on associate health examinations, including blood pressure, pulse, oxygen levels, blood glucose, breath/heart sounds, ear exams, etc.
  • Diagnostic Testing: Conduct, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic testing and refer to physician when necessary.
  • Virtual Health Opportunities: Engage or orchestrate virtual health opportunities between associate and his/her Primary Care Physician or Workers' Comp panel provider as necessary.
  • Emergency Care: Provide and direct emergency care as needed.
Requirements
  • Education: Completion or post-secondary education and licensure in nursing.
  • Licensure: Current nursing license (RN in the state of employment).
  • Skills: Ability to work independently, provide timely feedback and communication, and prioritize responsibilities. Must be flexible in schedule to provide all services to employees during their scheduled work hours.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certified Occupational Health Nurse: Certification in occupational health nursing is preferred.
Work Environment

This is a full-time position with a non-rotating 8-hour shift. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
