Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Material Handler to join our team at Reliable Automatic Sprinkler Co., Inc. in Boston Warehouse. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for storing, shipping, receiving, and replenishing finished goods to fire sprinkler contractors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Shipping and Receiving: Responsible for all tasks associated with the shipping and receiving functions at a distribution center.
  • Inventory Management: Scans barcodes, using a handheld scanner, to deliver materials to the target location within the warehouse.
  • Equipment Operation: Operates forklift, lift truck, side loaders, pallet trucks, picker and other loading/stacking equipment.
  • Quality Control: Completes and maintains daily forklift inspections reports.
  • Customer Service: Assists Will-Call customers in a courteous and helpful manner.
  • Reporting: Reports any deficiencies in inventory, equipment, safety issues, or concerns to the Warehouse or Operations Supervisor.
  • Communication: Reports backorders to the Customer Service Department.
  • Safety and Compliance: Promote a safe workplace by performing all tasks in a safe and thoughtful manner in compliance with all rules, procedures, instructions, devices, equipment and use of appropriate personal protective equipment.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma.
  • Experience: 6+ months of warehouse experience.
