Job DescriptionAs a Maintenance Custodian at UniFirst, you will be responsible for performing housekeeping and cleaning activities across various areas of the facility. This includes office spaces, kitchen areas, common areas, production floor, restroom facilities, and parking lots/grounds areas. You will utilize equipment such as wet and dry mops, brooms, floor scrubbers, vacuum cleaners, and cleaning supplies to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Ensure restrooms, kitchen, and breakroom areas are cleaned and stocked.
- Remove trash and place it in the designated area.
- Maintain window cleanliness.
- Dust furniture and ensure builders hardware is satisfactory.
- Relocate light furniture to assigned areas as directed.
- Replace light bulbs in overhead fixtures when directed.
- Perform cleaning operations in the office areas, production floor, outside of the facility, and other property areas as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor.
To be successful in this role, you must be able to:
- Operate floor cleaning equipment and other tools as required.
- Lift up to 80 lbs.
- Work independently with little or no supervision.
- Read, comprehend, and interpret procedures and instructions in English.
- Effectively present information and respond to questions from co-workers and managers.
- Be 18 years of age or older.
- Have a high school education and/or GED equivalent (preferred).
