We are seeking a skilled Per Diem Nurse to join our team at Spectrum Health Systems.

Job Summary:

The Per Diem Nurse will be responsible for administering medication to clients, educating them on medication-assisted treatment, and verifying medication orders with physicians.

Responsibilities:
  • Administer medication to clients as outlined in medication administration policy
  • Control, count, and document onsite medication
  • Educate clients on use, purpose, side effects, and other information relating to medication-assisted treatment
  • Verify medication orders with physicians and transcribe physician's orders
  • Assist in the admission process and document substance use diagnosis as required
Requirements:
  • Must be a Massachusetts Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Must have a current CPR certificate or obtain certification within 90 days of hire
  • Must display the use of appropriate independent judgment to determine appropriate course of action in resolving problems and in emergencies
  • Must be able to express self adequately in written and oral communication and to communicate effectively in an interdisciplinary, culturally diverse setting with clients, families, staff, and regulatory agencies
