Position Overview

The Travel Mammography Technologist plays a crucial role in delivering high-quality imaging services within the healthcare environment. This position requires a combination of technical expertise and patient care skills to ensure accurate diagnostic results.

Certification Requirements
  • ACLS: Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification from AHA or ARC.
  • BLS: Basic Life Support certification from AHA or ARC.
  • PALS: Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification from AHA or ARC.
  • NRP: Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure certification must be from AAP.
  • EFM: Electronic Fetal Monitoring certification is required.
  • Tech Certification Verification: National certifications such as Interventional Radiology Tech - ARRT, Cardiac Cath Lab Tech - ARRT and/or RCIS, EEG Tech - R.EEGT, and Ultrasound Tech - ARRT or ARDMS are mandatory.
  • HIPAA Compliance: Acknowledgment of the Aya HIPAA Safety Manual is required.
  • State License Verification: Primary source verification is necessary.
  • NURSYS Verification: Required for RN, LPN/LVN, AP as applicable.
  • NIH Stroke Certification: Must be updated annually.
Job Experience
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience is required.
  • Epic experience: Must have utilized Epic software within the last 12 months.
  • Mammography Skills: Experience in screening and diagnostic mammograms is essential.
  • Stereotactic Biopsy: Proficiency in performing stereotactic biopsies is required.
  • Bone Density: Experience in bone density assessments is preferred.
Essential Job Requirements
  • Must possess: BLS, ARRT, and a valid mammography license.
Work Schedule

The standard work schedule for this position is Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM.
