Job Description

Catholic Health Initiatives is seeking an experienced Medical Oncologist to join our team at CHI St. Alexius Health Williston.

Salary

The estimated salary for this position is $248.24 - $260.65 per hour, depending on experience.

Job Responsibilities
  • Patient Care:
    • Diagnose and treat various medical conditions, including cancers, with a focus on providing comprehensive treatment plans that meet each patient's unique needs.
    • Develop and implement personalized treatment strategies, taking into account the latest medical advancements and best practices in oncology.
    • Conduct thorough medical examinations and histories to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective treatment.
  • Communication:
    • Foster open communication with patients, families, and healthcare teams to provide clear and concise medical information, address concerns, and ensure seamless care coordination.
    • Collaborate with nurses, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans.
    • Provide consultative services to other healthcare providers to enhance patient care and outcomes.
  • Documentation:
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring compliance with coding and billing regulations.
    • Document medical findings, diagnoses, and treatment plans to facilitate efficient care delivery and informed decision-making.
  • Diagnostics and Procedures:
    • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as lab work and imaging, to inform treatment decisions and monitor patient progress.
    • Perform procedures as needed, working closely with specialists and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
  • Team Collaboration:
    • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement quality improvement initiatives, enhancing patient care and safety.
    • Participate in ongoing medical education and training to stay abreast of medical advancements and best practices in oncology.
    Qualifications
    • American Board Certified or Board Eligible in Oncology
    • A valid and unrestricted state medical license or license-eligible
