Adjunct Clinical Faculty

We are seeking an Adjunct Clinical Faculty member to supervise and mentor undergraduate teacher candidates in their capstone student teaching experience. The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to teaching excellence and a proven track record of supporting teacher development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise student teachers in their area of certification
• Evaluate course assignments and provide feedback
• Mentor student teachers through the formal observation process
• Observe and gather assessment data on lessons conducted by student teachers
• Provide guidance and support in student teacher development of consistent classroom management practices
• Conduct a final evaluation for each teacher candidate

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or master's degree in education
• Professional or permanent state-issued certification in an education field
• Five or more years of successful P-12 teaching and/or administrative experience
• Knowledge of research-based practices and strategies
• Knowledge of content area curricula and standards
