About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented DCP Custodian to join our team at Southern Industrial Constructors, Inc. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and organization of our facilities, including the safe performance of manual and skilled labor tasks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain a clean and organized working environment, including mopping traffic aisles, container storage aisles, and visitor changerooms
  • Operate a floor buffer and walk-behind floor scrubber to maintain the cleanliness of our facilities
  • Clean and maintain mask storage cabinets, handrails, and other equipment
  • Perform safety inspections of work areas, equipment, and tools to ensure compliance with government regulations and company policies
  • Complete all safety and general job training as required by the company

Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Two years of experience in general production maintenance
  • Considerable knowledge of safety standards and precautions pertaining to plant maintenance
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to balance multiple tasks and priorities
  • Skilled in written and verbal communication

Working Conditions

The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent exposure to dirt, dust, grease, oil, and other hazardous materials. The ability to safely access all areas of the property and buildings is essential. The candidate must also be able to effectively use all required personal protective equipment (PPE) and lift up to 50 pounds.
