Information Systems Auditor-in-Charge

Job Summary:

The Department of Innovation and Technology (DoIT) is seeking a highly skilled Information Systems Auditor-in-Charge to join our team. As a key member of our audit team, you will be responsible for conducting tests of major new systems and modifications to systems maintained by DoIT.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct audits of information systems to ensure compliance with various standards and requirements.
  • Review internal controls within IS applications to ensure compliance with COBIT5, ISACA defined IS Auditing Standards, Guidelines and Procedures, NIST standards, Federal and State statutes, and DoIT policies and procedures.
  • Develop and implement audit plans, procedures, and reports.
  • Provide input to the Chief Internal Auditor in the preparation of audit procedures, development of the annual audit plan, and audit manuals and policies used by division staff.
  • Continues education through formal and in-house training.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree with coursework in auditing, business management, public administration, economics, accounting, management information systems, or related subjects.
  • Three years of professional IT auditing experience.
  • Certification as a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Four years of professional experience in auditing information systems in an information systems environment relating to system applications, system security, or mainframes.
  • Four years of professional experience conducting tests of new systems and modifications to systems to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data in accordance with various standards.
  • Four years of professional experience drafting final audit findings, developing audit reports, and submitting final audit findings.
  • Three years of experience preparing for and conducting entrance conferences to outline audits with agency personnel.
  • Two years of experience utilizing automated audit software applications/programs and accounting software programs including Enterprise Resource Planning Systems (ERP).
