Community Health Systems is seeking a dedicated Physician Assistant to join our esteemed Cardiothoracic Surgery team. This role offers the opportunity to engage with complex cases and participate in the comprehensive spectrum of cardiac care alongside a skilled team. Candidates must possess a valid PA license with prescriptive authority. While experience in Cardiothoracic Surgery is preferred, we welcome applications from highly motivated new graduates.
About the Position:
- Assist in endoscopic vein harvesting procedures
- Participate in intricate cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgical operations
- Provide full-spectrum care for cardiac surgery patients, including pre-operative and post-operative management
- Oversee post-operative patients, addressing conditions such as arrhythmias and fluid balance in collaboration with the surgical team
- Act as a liaison among the surgeon, patient, family, and healthcare staff
- Collaborate within a team of cardiac surgeons and advanced practice providers
