HVAC Service Technician Overview

We are seeking a qualified HVAC Service Technician to join our team at West Virginia Property Management. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, upkeep, and repair of HVAC systems across various properties. This role involves traveling to client locations to assess existing systems, identify issues, and perform necessary repairs or maintenance.

The Technician should possess expertise in cleaning, adjusting, and fixing HVAC systems. Providing informed recommendations on whether to repair or replace systems is crucial. Ensuring customer satisfaction, safety, and comfort is paramount for success in this position. Candidates should demonstrate strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate the effectiveness and safety of clients' HVAC systems
  • Perform maintenance and repairs on heating and cooling systems
  • Diagnose electrical and mechanical issues within HVAC systems
  • Execute cleaning, adjustments, and repairs, including warranty services
  • Maintain an accurate inventory of HVAC equipment and supplies
  • Engage in ongoing technical training
  • Ensure compliance with appliance standards and safety regulations
  • Adhere to service standards and customer specifications
  • Be available for after-hours work, including weekends and holidays, with little notice
  • Work effectively in confined spaces

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Minimum of 1 year of HVAC training, with a willingness to pursue further education
  • Comprehensive understanding of air conditioning, refrigeration, and heating principles
  • Familiarity with boiler systems
  • Ability to work in confined areas
  • Valid HVAC technician license
  • Current driver's license
  • Self-motivated and dependable
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Availability for after-hours work, including weekends and holidays, with little notice
