FLSA STATUS: Part Time Non-exempt

Overview

The primary role of this position is to ensure a secure and enjoyable experience for all attendees at events by collaborating with the designated law enforcement personnel.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough screening of attendees using metal detectors and handheld wands to maintain safety standards.
  • Maintain a vigilant presence at assigned locations throughout the event and report any unusual behavior.
  • Warmly welcome guests while remaining alert for any potential security threats.
  • Uphold venue regulations (e.g., no smoking, no re-entry) by monitoring access points and designated areas.
  • Recognize and react to emergencies, coordinating with law enforcement as necessary.
  • Stay composed and guide guests to safety in the event of an emergency situation.
  • Work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, adhering to scheduled times set by management.
  • Perform additional tasks and respond to unforeseen needs as directed by management.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position does not include supervisory duties.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Applicants must be at least 18 years old.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
  • Strong communication skills, a friendly demeanor, and a positive attitude are essential.
  • Proven experience in customer service is required.
  • Candidates should be able to maintain composure in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
  • Experience in resolving conflicts amicably is preferred.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to navigate various floor surfaces and environments, including prolonged standing and walking, as well as climbing stairs.
  • Clear verbal communication skills with guests, colleagues, and venue staff are necessary.
  • Capability to work in diverse settings, including heights, dimly lit areas, crowded spaces, loud noises, and flashing lights.
  • Continuous standing and walking, including navigating stairs.
  • Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 10 pounds.
