JOB DESCRIPTION

POSITION SUMMARY:

We are looking for a talented metal fabrication specialist to become part of our dynamic team at Alcom of Texas. The successful candidate will demonstrate expertise in MIG welding techniques on various components, including fixtures and ramps. Proficiency in interpreting blueprints and executing job specifications is essential. Experience with TIG welding will be considered an advantage. This role demands meticulous attention to detail and a strong dedication to delivering exceptional craftsmanship.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Interprets job specifications and blueprint details.
  • Reviews blueprints prior to commencing any tasks.
  • Confirms specifications by inspecting finished products.
  • Ensures equipment safety and reports any maintenance requirements to management.
  • Collaborates with team members and proposes enhancements.
  • Accurately completes documentation and adheres to established procedures.
  • Keeps work area clean and organized.
  • Follows safety, quality, and cleanliness protocols.
  • Participates in Continuous Improvement initiatives.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience in aluminum welding and successful completion of an aluminum weld assessment is mandatory.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints and job specifications.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
