Job Summary:

The RN Pre-op/PACU is a critical member of our perioperative services team, providing high-quality patient care in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. As a Registered Nurse, you will utilize the nursing process and medical plan of care to deliver safe, effective, and patient-centered care to patients of all ages.

This is a 12-hour shift position, requiring three days of work per week. We are seeking a skilled and compassionate RN to join our team and support the mission, vision, and values of United Surgical Partners.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care in the perioperative setting, utilizing strong knowledge of surgical procedures and patient management.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans, incorporating principles of aseptic technique and evidence-based practice.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure clear understanding of care plans and patient needs.
  • Participate in performance improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of quality improvement projects.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Current Pennsylvania Nursing License.
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications, preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in Pre-Op/PACU, with previous experience in a hospital setting preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and patient management.
  • Ability to care for patients from infancy to geriatrics.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and teaching skills.
  • Demonstrate strong professional and ethical behavior, with a commitment to teamwork and customer service.
