Speech Language Pathologist

School of Dreams Academy is seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will play a critical role in identifying and addressing speech and language disorders in students.
Responsibilities:- Organize and conduct identification programs, including screening and student assessments.
- Coordinate student therapy/treatment schedules with teaching staff and other related service providers.
- Evaluate and interpret speech and language testing, making recommendations for educational planning.
- Provide direct and/or consultative services in individual, small, or large group settings.
- Maintain professional competence through participation in in-service activities and professional growth activities.
- May serve as case manager for students receiving speech-language services and participate in Student Assistant Teams (SAT) committee meetings.
- Evaluate speech and language delays and disorders, including selection, administration, and interpretation of evaluation materials and results.
- Analyze and interpret findings for diagnosis and recommendations, reporting findings to appropriate personnel, students, and parents.
- Follow Federal, State, and District guidelines and criteria for eligibility and service delivery.
- Plan and implement the clinical program, including managing a caseload, developing therapy schedules, and evaluating student progress.
- Write evaluation reports, progress reports, and maintain records, including Medicaid filing for eligible students.
- Participate in intra-school planning and communications through attending monthly meetings of District speech-language pathologists.
Requirements:
- Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
- New Mexico License in Speech-Language Pathology from the New Mexico Speech Language Pathology and Audiology Board.
- New Mexico License issued by the PED Ancillary and Support Services.
Work Hours:
Work hours are established in employment contract. Additional work hours may be required as scheduled by School Principal.
