Job Summary

Maxim Healthcare Services is seeking skilled Registered Nurses (RNs) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) for private duty homecare positions in Norfolk. Responsibilities
  • Assessment and Planning: Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, ensuring that each client receives individualized attention and support.
  • Patient Care: Collect, analyze, and interpret data and information from healthcare members and document actual and/or potential nursing diagnoses, developing effective plans of care to address client needs.
  • Documentation and Communication: Accurately document patient information, including nursing diagnoses, expected outcomes, and selected interventions, ensuring seamless communication with healthcare teams and clients.
  • Interventions and Revisions: Perform interventions according to identified priorities, plan of care, and hospital policies, revising the plan as needed to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Clinical Judgment: Exercise clinical judgment in evaluation activities to meet patient care needs, establishing priorities and making informed decisions to ensure high-quality care.
Requirements
  • Certifications and Licenses: Current RN or LPN license for the state in which you practice, as well as current PPD or Chest X-Ray and BLS card.
  • Experience: One year of prior nursing experience is preferred, but not required.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Enteral Feeds: Experience with enteral feeding equipment and techniques.
  • Tracheostomy Care: Knowledge of tracheostomy care and management.
  • Ventilator Management: Experience with ventilator management and care.
Work Schedule
  • Shift Options: Full-time, part-time, day shifts, night shifts, 8, 10, or 12 hour shifts.
