Job Overview

Position: Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA)

Facility Type: Long-Term Care / Skilled Nursing Facility

Job Duration: 13 Weeks with potential for extension

Shift Hours: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM

Role Responsibilities

The Physical Therapy Assistant will be responsible for:

  • Implementing physical therapy techniques and modalities to support patients in reaching their functional objectives under the supervision of licensed physical therapists.
  • Adhering to established protocols for the upkeep, modification, assembly, and disassembly of physical therapy apparatus.
  • Conducting patient treatment procedures and maintaining accurate documentation in medical records.
  • Assisting with patient transfers related to therapeutic exercises and physical therapy interventions, ensuring the safety and well-being of patients as directed by physical therapists or medical personnel.
  • Working with a diverse patient demographic, including individuals with physical impairments, those reliant on ventilators, and patients with mental health conditions.
