Nutrition Specialist

**Job Overview**

We are seeking a Nutrition Specialist - Healthcare to join our team at PIH Health Hospital-Downey. As a Nutrition Specialist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality nutritional care to patients in various inpatient units.

About the Role

This is a full-time position that requires a Registered Dietitian credential. The successful candidate will provide nutritional care, work every other weekend, and participate in quality improvement initiatives. You will also educate healthcare team members, including physicians and nurses, on nutritional care.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should have:

• A Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)
• Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire
• 3 years of experience as a practitioner able to work with minimal supervision

Compensation and Benefits
