We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse Case Manager to join our team at Rio Grande Regional Hospital. As a Registered Nurse Case Manager, you will play a critical role in facilitating care along a continuum, ensuring that patients receive the appropriate level of care based on medical necessity.
Responsibilities- Actively participate in the collaborative program to review patient activities related to medical necessity of hospitalization, appropriateness of length of stay, and timely and appropriate utilization of services rendered.
- Promote quality care and cost-effective outcomes to enhance the physical, psychosocial, and vocational health of individuals.
- Review, plan, implement, coordinate, and evaluate health-related service options throughout the continuum.
- Provide care based on physical, psychological, educational, safety, and related criteria for the neonate, infant, child, adolescent, adult, and geriatric population.
- Associate Degree in Nursing, required
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, preferred
- Case Management certification, preferred
- Current Texas licensure with State Board of Nurse Examiners as an RN
- 1+ years experience in healthcare
Rio Grande Regional Hospital is a full-service hospital with 320+ beds, serving the Rio Grande Valley for over 30 years. Our team of over 500 physicians represents 35+ specialties, and we offer a full range of inpatient and outpatient medical and surgical services. Our Emergency Room is a Level III Trauma Center, and we have extended our ER services into the Rio Grande Valley with our three remote ERs in McAllen/Mission, Edinburg, and San Juan.
