Wellness Nurse

The Part Time Wellness Nurse is a key member of our healthcare team at Maplewood Mayflower Place ALF LLC, responsible for overseeing the medication program and supervising the Resident Services Department associates.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and mentor Resident Services Department associates, including C.N.A.'s (Resident Services Assistants), to ensure high-quality care and support for residents.
• Assist in the supervision of the medication program, ensuring accurate and timely administration of medications to residents.
• Maintain positive relationships with residents, families, and physicians, providing exceptional customer service and support.
• Report any significant incidents or changes in resident needs to the Executive Director/Resident Services Director.
• Support the completion of resident assessments and service plans, ensuring individualized care and support.
• Assist with clinical assessments and recertifications, as required by ALSA standards.
• Support the Resident Services Director in hiring, managing performance, and training of department staff.
• Participate in scheduled in-service programs, training sessions, and associate meetings to stay up-to-date on best practices and industry developments.
• Assist with scheduling and staffing of Resident Services Assistants as needed, ensuring adequate coverage and support for residents.
• Provide coaching and mentoring to Resident Services Department associates, promoting professional growth and development.
• Support residents and families in achieving high levels of customer satisfaction, addressing concerns and needs in a timely and effective manner.

Requirements:

• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) currently licensed to practice.
• Basic first aid and CPR certification.
• Two years of full-time or full-time equivalent clinical experience.
• Experience in assisted living or long-term care settings preferred.
• Experience working with seniors and a passion for delivering high-quality care and support.
