Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Temple Health. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will assist pharmacists in providing exceptional patient care and support in the preparation, dispensing, and distribution of medications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications, including intravenous admixtures and unit doses.
  • Participate in the maintenance and transportation of pharmaceuticals, as well as the operation of automated technology equipment.
  • Document activities and maintain accurate records, ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Obtain and enter medication and allergy histories for patients, utilizing various resources and interviewing patients and their families.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to determine treatment plans and medication orders.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; relevant experience preferred.
  • National Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) required upon hire or within the first 6 months of employment.
