Job Title: Substation Engineering Lead

Vantage Point Solutions Inc is seeking a highly skilled Substation Engineering Lead to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and overseeing the design and construction of power substations, ensuring that our clients' needs are met.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop complete designs for substation systems, including relay schematics, wiring diagrams, and SCADA layouts.
  • Manage and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion and budget adherence.
  • Mentor and train new engineers, providing guidance and support to ensure their success.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Approve physical, electrical, and control designs for construction, including bus and structural steel.
Requirements:
  • BSEE or BSEET degree from an ABET accredited university, preferably with a power option.
  • Current Professional Engineers License with the ability to obtain a license in states served by VPS.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in the power-energy industry, with a proven track record of success.
  • Leadership skills, with the ability to directly supervise and mentor other engineers.
  • Familiarity with engineering standards such as RUS, IEEE, ANSI, and NESC.
